2025-2029 ALTSD State Plan on Aging Call for Review and Comment Comment by May 23, 2025
As the designated State Unit on Aging, New Mexico’s Aging and Long-Term Services Department (ALTSD) is committed to supporting older adults and people with disabilities across the state. ALTSD is comprised of the Office of the Secretary and five key divisions that connect New Mexicans to essential resources: 1. Administrative Services 2. Consumer and Elder Rights 3. Aging Network 4. Adult Protective Services 5. Long-Term Care ALTSD’s mission remains focused on empowering individuals to maintain their independence, health, and dignity. Through a wide range of programs and services, we strive to ensure that every New Mexican can age with confidence and continue to thrive in their communities. This commitment is reflected in in the 2025–2029 State Plan on Aging, a federally required document that outlines New Mexico’s goals, objectives and strategies for meeting the needs of older adults, adults with disabilities and family caregivers. We are in the final week of collecting public input and want to hear from you! Your voice matters. Help us shape the future of aging services in New Mexico by reviewing the draft State Plan and completing our brief survey. Your feedback will help guide how we prioritize services and ensure our programs remain responsive and effective for the communities we serve.
