A Day of Advocacy & Resources - Senior Day 2025

We are thrilled to invite you to Senior Day at the Legislature on January 27, 2025 at New Mexico State Capitol, a day dedicated to celebrating and supporting New Mexico's aging community, caregivers, and advocates.

This year’s Senior Day is packed with valuable resources and meaningful connections.

Here's what you can look forward to:

Complimentary Lunch – Enjoy burritos generously provided by our partner, the Non-Metro Area Agency on Aging. Make sure to RSVP below.

Aging Expo – Connect with a diverse group of exhibitors offering resources and services tailored to aging adults and their caregivers, including: Non-Metro Area Agency on Aging : Provides essential support services and programs to older adults in rural New Mexico to help them live independently.

AARP New Mexico : Advocates for issues that matter most to older adults, from healthcare and financial security to community engagement.

New Mexico Senior Olympics : Provides adults 50+ with opportunities for a healthy active lifestyle. Join us in the afternoon for a guided 10 minute stretching exercise.

Legal Resources for the Elderly : Free, statewide helpline for New Mexico residents age 55+ that provides legal advice related to estate planning, guardianship, and financial civil legal areas.

Senior Citizens Law Office : Provides high-quality legal services and advocacy to protect the rights and dignity of New Mexico’s seniors.

Help NM : Delivers programs and services aimed at empowering individuals, families, and communities, including seniors, to achieve their fullest potential.

Office of Broadband Access & Expansion : Ensures seniors and their communities have equitable access to high-speed internet and digital resources.

Memory Care Alliance : Supports individuals living with memory loss and their families through education, services, and advocacy.

Advocacy Opportunities – Connect with your elected officials and let them know about the importance of aging services in your community.
