ADVISORY: A journey through Native America with Zig Jackson at Museum of Indian Arts & Culture

Hi Everyone,

Join photographer Zig Jackson at MIAC as he discusses his work photographing both urban and reservation Indians, and his journey as a Native American photographer. WHAT: A journey through Native America, a presentation by Zig Jackson. This program is free with museum admission. WHO: Zig Jackson (Three Affiliated Tribes; Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara) was the first Native American photographer collected by the Library of Congress, by the Prints and Photographs Division. He was the first Native American to get an MFA in photography out of the San Francisco Art Institute. He teaches photography at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia and exhibits his work at various venues throughout the country. WHEN: Saturday, September 14, 1-3 p.m. WHERE: Museum of Indian Arts & Culture, 710 Camino Lejo, Santa Fe, NM WHY: Explore photography through the eyes of Zig Jackson.
