Advisory: Celebrate Santa Fe Pride at New Mexico Museum of Art

Good morning,

Join the New Mexico Museum of Art on the Plaza to celebrate our exhibition Out West: Gay and Lesbian Artists in the Southwest 1900-1969 and Santa Fe PRIDE. The Museum will be free for everyone all day. WHAT: Out West Community Day/Pride. Arts and crafts, including cowboy hat decorating will be available from 11a.m. to 4 p.m. in the courtyard. Docent guided tours featuring Out West will be offered on the hour from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Join Head of Curatorial Affairs, Christian Waguespack for a gallery talk about the exhibition at 1p.m. Author Walter Cooper will be signing copies of his book Unbuttoned: Gay Life in the Santa Fe Arts Scene from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in the lobby. WHERE: New Mexico Museum of Art, 107 West Plaza Avenue, Santa Fe, NM WHEN: Saturday, June 29, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. WHY: This exhibition explores the influential careers of LGBTQ artists working in the Southwest during 1900-1969 and their enduring legacy.
