Hi Everyone,
WHAT: Celebrate the Winter Solstice at MIAC with early morning sunrise watching, breakfast, bird watching, storytelling at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. by Sunny Dooley (Diné), a morning talk by Misha Pipe (Navajo, Assiniboine, and Gros Ventres), making bird feeders in the Education Classroom, and guided tours by the curators of Makowa: The Worlds Above Us, a nd dances from Acoma Pueblo.

WHEN: Sunday, Dec. 21, 2025, 7 a.m.-2 p.m.

WHY: The Winter Solstice is the shortest day and longest night of the year, signifying the official start of Winter.
