Hi Everyone,
The New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science (NMMNHS) Education team has announced its slate of October public programs in libraries and other community spaces across Bernalillo County.
What: With the museum temporarily closed for a renovation project, NMMNHS educators are bringing natural history into the community with a full slate of public programs in Bernalillo County libraries and community spaces during the fall months through the Natural History in your Neighborhood program. A full rundown of each program is available HERE . When and Where: Saturday, Oct. 4, 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.: Dino Discoveries at International District Library (7601 Central Ave. NE). For ages 0 to 8. Saturday, Oct. 4, 5:00 – 8:30 p.m.: International Observe the Moon Night at Sandia Mountain Natural History Center (60 Columbine Ln, Cedar Crest). All ages welcome. Thursday, Oct. 9, 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.: Journey Through the Solar System at East Mountain Library (487 NM 333, Tijeras). For ages 9 to 12. Friday, Oct. 10, 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.: Field Journaling at Juan Tabo Library (3407 Juan Tabo Blvd. NE). For ages 13 to 18. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.: The Geological Story of the Albuquerque Area at Taylor Ranch Library (5700 Bogart St. NW). Adults and older students welcome. Wednesday, Oct. 15, 11:00 a.m. – noon: Dino Discoveries at Los Griegos Library (1000 Griegos Rd. NW). For ages 0 to 8. Saturday, Oct. 18, 11:00 a.m. – noon: Dino Discoveries at Taylor Ranch Library (5700 Bogart St. NW). For ages 0 to 8. Saturday, Oct. 25, 11:00 a.m. – noon: Field Journaling at Cherry Hills Library ( 6901 Barstow St. NE). For ages 13 to 18. All events are free for kids and caregivers.
