Hello everyone,
What: This month, Taylor-Mesilla Historic Site invites you to attend Ranger Daniel Webb’s presentation “From the Territory of Montezuma to the Garden Spot of the Southwest: Visions of the Mesilla Valley before Statehood.”
When: Saturday, Oct. 18, 2 - 3 p.m.
Who: This talk is free and open to everyone.
Where: Mesilla Community Center Auditorium, 2251 Calle de Santiago, Mesilla, NM, 88046
Why: Learn about early attempts to create an independent government in this region before New Mexico became the forty-seventh state in 1912.
This talk is presented by New Mexico Historic Sites and the Friends of Taylor-Mesilla Historic Site. Mesilla Plaza Walking Tours are scheduled for Oct. 2 and Oct. 11 from 10 - 11 a.m. at the Reynolds Store Visitor Center (2350 Calle Principal) . Call 575-202-1638 for more information.
