ADVISORY: Get your groove on with Carnaval 2024: Comunidade at the National Hispanic Cultural Center on Feb. 9-10

Hi Everyone,

One of Latin America’s largest celebrations, Carnaval, is returning to the National Hispanic Cultural Center in February!

What: Carnaval 2024: Comunidade , featuring PANdemonium and the Odara Dance Ensemble. The annual celebration returns to the Center for its 19th year. This year’s theme is Community and will focus on the many entertainers from our Albuquerque community who have dazzled audiences in past Carnaval performances.

Based on the festive season occurring before Lent in many Latin American and Caribbean countries, Carnaval features bright costumes, music from multitalented instrumentalist Frank Leto, and vibrant dance numbers choreographed by Odara Dance Ensemble.

Tickets range from $17 to $27, with a $2 discount for seniors, children 12 years old and younger & NHCC members. Visit nhccnm.org/event/carnaval-2024-comuidade to learn more and register.

Where: The National Hispanic Cultural Center’s Albuquerque Journal Theatre, at 1701 4th Street SW.

When: Friday, Feb. 9 and Saturday, Feb. 10 at 7:30 p.m. Why: Because it’s an opportunity to join one of Latin America’s biggest celebrations with a thrilling, colorful, performance!
