Hello everyone,
From home to historic site, meet the Taylor family
What: Join Taylor-Mesilla Historic Site for the quarterly series, “Taylor Talks,” highlighting the history of Mesilla and Southern New Mexico through interesting talks presented by guest speakers. This talk is free and open to the public.
Who: Mike Taylor, Pat Taylor, and Mary Helen Taylor Ratje, three of Mary and J. Paul Taylor’s children, will share their family’s history in Southern New Mexico, some memories from growing up in Mesilla, and why the family made the decision to donate their family’s home to the state to serve as a Historic Site.
When: Saturday, July 19, 2 - 3 p.m.
Where: Mesilla Community Center Auditorium, 2251 Calle de Santiago, Mesilla, NM, 88046 ( Construction along Calle de Santiago may still be ongoing but parking can be found along Calle de Picacho and Calle de Parian.)
Why: Get to know an influential New Mexican family who has dedicated their family home to preserve local culture, art, and history.
