Hello everyone,
The Wonders on Wheels Mobile Museum, a division of the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs, is touring the state this month showcasing the new exhibit, "The Arts of Democracy in New Mexico." The exhibition honors the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and highlights ideals of freedom and self-government and how they have been expressed in art forms, particularly in New Mexico.
What: Visitors can see the exhibit and participate in hands-on learning activities at various community venues throughout the state—for free!

Sat., May 16, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Belen Public Library, 333 Becker Ave., Belen
Tues., May 19, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Beatrice Martinez-Quintana Senior Center, 735 Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park Rd, Española
Thurs., May 28, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Eastern New Mexico Univ. Adult Education, 52 University Blvd., Roswell
Fri., May 29, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Artesia Public Library, 205 W. Quay Ave., Artesia
Sat., May 30, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Hobbs Public Library, 509 N. Shipp St., Hobbs
Why: Wonders on Wheels serves all 33 counties in New Mexico annually, bringing arts, culture, history, and science exhibits and curriculum-based programming to fairs, festivals, public libraries, and schools. The goal is to make learning fun and accessible to people of all ages throughout the state. “The Arts of Democracy in New Mexico” is supported in part by New Mexico Arts, a division of the Department of Cultural Affairs, and by the National Endowment for the Arts.
