ADVISORY: National Hispanic Cultural Center brings award-winning mariachi ensemble to New Mexico�s two largest cities in April

Hi Everyone,

In collaboration with AMP Concerts, the National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) is excited to announce a pair of concerts through its Cultural Ambassador Program starring the Latin Grammy-winning ensemble Flor de Toloache!

Who: New York-based all-female ensemble Flor de Toloache continue to win the hearts of both progressive and traditional mariachi music fans alike through their distinct artistic vision and sophisticated, enlightened interpretation of traditional mariachi instruments. The female quartet’s diverse ethnicities and musical backgrounds have also transcended culture and gender by forging new paths.

What: AMP Concerts and NHCC will host a pair of concerts. First, join us in Albuquerque on April 1 for a concert at the Center’s Albuquerque Journal Theatre. Then, the ensemble heads south to Las Cruces for another night of music at the Rio Grande Theatre on April 3.

Tickets for the Albuquerque performance range from $22 to $42. Tickets for the Las Cruces concert cost $25 in advance, $30 on the day of the show. Discounts for children 12 years old and younger are available for both shows. Tickets for both shows are available at ampconcerts.org .

The second concert is made possible by the Center’s Cultural Ambassador Program. Launched in 2023, the Cultural Ambassador Program is an effort by the NHCC to identify historic areas across New Mexico and establish formal partnerships with those communities. The goal of this program is fostering strong connections with artists and community organizations in every corner of New Mexico by identifying, supporting, and empowering rural populations, artists, and youth across the state. Where: The Center’s Albuquerque Journal Theatre (1701 4th St SW, Albuquerque) and the Rio Grande Theatre (211 N Main St, Las Cruces).

When: Monday, April 1 and Wednesday, April 3 at 7:30 p.m.

Why: This concert series is an opportunity for Central and Southern New Mexicans alike to experience an award-winning mariachi performance!
