ADVISORY: National Hispanic Cultural Center to host all-ages hip-hop festival with deep community roots on Feb. 17

The National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) is thrilled to announce it will play host to the 21st Annual Breakin Hearts, an all-ages hip-hop festival that serves as a platform for local and national artists!
What: The 21st Annual Breakin Hearts All Ages Hip-Hop Event. Breakin Hearts serves as a community event that brings together elements of Latinx, Indigenous, and other communities that have represented hip-hop culture in the Southwest for the past 20 years. The purpose of the event is to create a safe space for under-represented artists as well as established professionals to showcase their talents, compete, and celebrate hip-hop culture under one roof.
The event, taking place on Valentine’s weekend, is a family-friendly one-day festival featuring dozens of live hip-hop performers, MCs, DJs, a beatbox competition, a breaking tournament, flamenco performances, Soul/Reggae/Funk bands, a vendor market, a public canvas art competition, a hip-hop fashion contest, spoken word poetry performances, food trucks, and much more.
Tickets are $27, with a $2 discount for NHCC members. Learn more and register HERE .
Where: The NHCC Grand Hall, located in the Center’s Pete V. Domenici Education Building.
When: Noon to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17.
