ADVISORY: Nominations for the 2024 Governor�s Awards for Excellence in the Arts are Now Open

Hello everyone,

Nominations for the 2024 Governor’s Awards for Excellence in the Arts are now open!

What: The New Mexico Arts Commission and the New Mexico Arts Division announce a call for nominations for the 2024 Governor's Awards for Excellence in the Arts. Nominations are only open to organizations and living artists in New Mexico. Nominations may be made by any New Mexico resident except for New Mexico Arts Commissioners and New Mexico Arts Division staff. Please note: Galleries may not nominate artists they represent. Self-nominations and nominations by immediate family or members of the same household will not be accepted.

Who: New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs and New Mexico Arts

When: Nomination deadline is Wednesday, April 24, 2024, 5 p.m. MDT.

Why: The annual Governor’s Awards for Excellence in the Arts is a prestigious annual award that recognizes both individuals and organizations and acknowledges the considerable role, both economic and cultural, that artists, craftspeople and arts supporters play in New Mexico. Nominations are reviewed by the New Mexico Arts Commission and the Governor.
