Advisory: �Protection: Adaptation and Resistance� closing celebration at Museum of International Folk Art

Hi Everyone,

WHAT: Join MOIFA for an afternoon with Lily Hope in celebration of the closing of Protection: Adaptation and Resistance. Lily will be hosting storytelling from 1-2pm, followed by a weaving demonstration from 2-4 p.m. ASL interpretation will be provided. WHO: Lily Hope is a distinguished artist and community leader born and raised on Lingit Aani. She is Tlingit Indian, of the Raven moiety. Following her matrilineal line, she’s of her grandmother’s clan, the T’akdeintaan. WHERE: Museum of International Folk Art, 706 Camino Lejo, Santa Fe NM. WHEN: April 7, 1-4 p.m. WHY: Protection: Adaptation and Resistance presents the work of more than 45 Alaska Native artists who explore the themes of climate crisis, struggles for social justice, strengthening communities through ancestral knowledge, and imagining a thriving future.
