ADVISORY: See Relics of Life and Adventure at New Mexico History Museum Showcase Installation
Ribbon cutting on Fri., Aug. 9, 5 - 7 p.m.
Hi Everyone,
New Mexico History Museum’s newly installed exhibit area called “New Mexico Showcase,” explores ordinary objects from the museum’s collection that have shaped the state’s rich and diverse heritage.
What: The inaugural installation of the New Mexico Showcase, “Everyday Odysseys: Relics of Life & Adventure in New Mexico,” is currently showing at New Mexico History Museum. Through the lens of curiosity and imagination, this exhibit explores the ordinary objects that have shaped the state’s rich and diverse heritage. Located in the museum’s second floor gathering space, the exhibit features a selection of objects drawn from the Museum’s collection. The public is invited to a celebratory ribbon cutting on Friday, August 9, and enjoy extended museum hours, complimentary refreshments, and free stickers. Admission is free for New Mexico residents with ID.

Why: New Mexico Showcase offers a fun way to explore state history through a range of items from the museum’s collection. The exhibit space will feature a rotating display of items brought out of storage ranging from old favorites like a Remington Standard Typewriter to commonplace like a child’s toy dump truck, as well as new acquisitions.
