ADVISORY: Sponsored attendance for Valencia County residents returning in February through partnership with Meta
Hi Everyone,
The New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science (NMMNHS) is thrilled to announce that sponsored attendance for all Valencia County residents is returning to the museum throughout February!
What: In 2023, the museum embarked on a five-year partnership with the technology company Meta. Under this partnership, Meta donated $300,000 to the NMMNH Foundation, in support of annual sponsored attendance for Valencia County residents, along with five years of educational classroom visits for every 5th grade classroom in Valencia County, physical and virtual space science programming and planetarium shows, and much more. Throughout February, Valencia County residents may visit the museum and the planetarium free of charge with a valid form of identification. Group attendance for Valencia County residents is covered under the program, call 505-841-2800 for additional details. This program covers regularly scheduled planetarium shows only. More information about this groundbreaking partnership is available HERE .
Where: New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science, at 1801 Mountain Rd NW
When: Throughout February 2024 during regular museum and planetarium hours.
Why: This partnership is designed to not only enhance the museum’s programming, but also to make it more accessible for New Mexico residents outside of Bernalillo County. Last February, this partnership sponsored attendance for more than 3,000 Valencia County visitors.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re interested in learning more!
