J oin the Namingha family for a conversation on family legacy and artistic tradition. Respected artists, Dan, Arlo, Les, and Michael Namingha will discuss the countless ways they honor their family legacy through their own artistic practices. WHAT : Spend an evening with Dan, Arlo, Les, and Michael Namingha as they talk about their work across a variety of media in a panel discussion moderated by Carolyn Kastner. The discussion is made possible by the generous support of Maria and Ed Gale, the Gale Family Foundation. WHO: Dan Namingha (Tewa/Hopi) is a contemporary artist, Arlo Namingha (Tewa/Hopi) is an artist, sculptor, jeweler, and printmaker from Polacca, Arizona, and Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo, Michael Namingha (Hopi, Ohkay Owingeh) is an artist, and Les Namingha (Tewa/Zuni) is a contemporary potter. WHEN: Friday, May 23, 5:30-7 p.m. WHERE: New Mexico Museum of Art, St. Francis Auditorium, 107 West Palace Avenue, Santa Fe, NM. WHY: Engage with each member of this impressive artistic dynasty.
