In collaboration with Opera Southwest, the National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) is proud to present an opera of revenge and resilience during the Spanish Inquisition. Adam del Monte’s Llantos 1492 makes its debut at NHHC on February 16.

As the Reconquista draws to a close and the Inquisition’s dark cloud gathers on the Spanish horizon, a lawyer defends a village of gitanos against false accusations.
