WHAT: Come enjoy FREE Story time with Coronado Historic Site Partnership with Martha Liebert Public Library Summer Ranger Read & Learn at Martha Liebert Public Library.
WHO: Children ages 4-8
WHERE: Martha Liebert Public Library 124 Calle Malinche, Bernalillo NM, 87004.
WHEN:
-Saturday, June 13, 2026, 10 – 11 a.m . Join a Ranger from Coronado Historic Site to learn about animal scat and tracks. Listen to the story "Poo-Dunit? A Forest Floor Mystery" by Katelyn Aronson, then make “scat” cookies to snack on. All materials will be provided.
-Saturday, July 18, 2026, 10 – 11 a.m. Join a Ranger from Coronado Historic Site to learn about the water cycle and how it affects our environment in New Mexico. Listen to the story "Drop: An Adventure through the Water Cycle" by Emily Kate Moon, then experiment with the water cycle using shaving cream and food dye. We’ll also make a rain windsock. All materials will be provided.
-Saturday, August 15, 2026, 10 – 11 a.m. A Ranger from Coronado Historic Site to learn about astronomy and the different constellations. Listen to the story "Coyote and the Sun" by Emmett Shkeme Garcia, then play a constellation matching game and make your own constellation picture. All materials will be provided.
