Hi Everyone,
A two-day celebration featuring Latine author Estella González’s newest book will take place at the National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) on June 12 and 14.
What: Escribir | Escuchar Latine Author Series: Estella González Reading and Workshop. The event kicks off on June 12 with a reading and book-signing celebrating González’s newest novel, Huizache Women. This captivating narrative intertwining the lives of women navigating the complexities of identity, family, and resilience in González’s evocative storytelling. Then, head back to the Center on Saturday, June 14 for a creative writing workshop led by González. This workshop offers a unique opportunity for attendees to explore their own narrative voice and craft. Both events are free, with generous support from AARP Albuquerque. Learn more and register at nhccnm.org/events . Where: Salón Ortega at the National Hispanic Cultural Center, located at 1701 4th St. SW. When: The reading kicks off at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 12. The workshop runs from 10:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 14. Why: It’s an opportunity to celebrate and learn from a published Latine author!
