Hello everyone,
The Wonders on Wheels Mobile Museum, a division of the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs, is touring the exhibit, "Eight Sites, One History: Explore the Past at New Mexico Historic Sites" to a variety of community events throughout the state.
What: Visitors can explore the exhibit "Eight Sites, One History,” sponsored by New Mexico Historic Sites, at the New Mexico State Fair, fall festivals, and community events. The exhibit highlights the distinctive stories revealed at each of the state’s eight sites, from Indigenous lifeways to Spanish settlement to US statehood and beyond. Visitors can also participate in hands-on learning activities and take-home projects.

Thursday, Sept. 11 , 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., New Mexico State Fair, Albuquerque
Friday, Sept. 12 , 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Baldwin Cabin Public Library, Datil
Saturday, Sept. 13 , 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Pie Town Pie Festival, Pie Town
Wednesday, Sept. 17 , 5:30 – 8:30 p.m., Portales History Festival, Portales
Saturday, Sept. 20 , 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Santa Fe International Half Marathon-Culture Day, Santa Fe
Sunday, Sept. 21 , 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Los Luceros Historic Site Fall Festival, Alcalde
Saturday, Sept. 27 , 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Archaeology Day, Ghost Ranch
Monday, Sept. 29 , 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Health Plan Place, 2100 Louisiana Blvd NE, Suite 408, Albuquerque
Why: Wonders on Wheels serves all 33 counties in New Mexico annually, bringing arts, culture, history, and science exhibits and curriculum-based programming to fairs, festivals, public libraries, and schools. The goal is to make learning fun and accessible to everyone throughout the state.
