Advocacy & Connection - Senior Day 2025

Join a day dedicated to older adults and aging services on January 27, 2025 | New Mexico State Capitol

New Mexico Aging Services is delighted to welcome you to Senior Day at the Legislature. Join us on January 27, 2025, at the New Mexico State Capitol for a day devoted to honoring the strength, contributions, and value of New Mexico’s aging community, their caregivers, and dedicated advocates.

Make sure to RSVP to this can’t miss event by completing this form . co Complimentary Lunch & Snacks – Enjoy lunch burritos generously provided by the Non-Metro Area Agency on Aging, paired with a tasty treat—fresh, local bags of pecans courtesy of the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program. Resource Tables – Meet with over 20 community resources specializing in aging services and caregiver support. Here are a few of the participating organizations you can visit during Senior Day: Alzheimer’s Association New Mexico Chapter : Leading the fight against Alzheimer’s with research, education, and support.

City of Albuquerque, Department of Senior Affairs : Providing resources with care and compassion that help our community thrive while embracing aging.

Disability Rights New Mexico: Advocating for the rights and dignity of people with disabilities.

National Indian Council on Aging : Supporting Native elders through advocacy and programs.

New Mexico Health Care Association : Serving as a liaison between individuals and families needing long term care services and the facilities that provide care.

New Mexico Health Care Authority : Providing health resources and assistance to New Mexicans.

New Mexico Department of Veteran Services : Dedicated to serving veterans and their families.

New Mexico Indian Affairs Department : Advocating for the well-being of Native American communities.

Governor’s Commission on Disability : Promoting full inclusion and access for all New Mexicans.
