ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Aspiring agricultural professionals, students and producers from across New Mexico will have a unique opportunity to connect with industry leaders and learn about real-world agriculture at the AgriFuture Educational Institute, set for June 15-17 at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center in Albuquerque.

Hosted by the New Mexico Department of Agriculture (NMDA) in partnership with more than a dozen organizations, AgriFuture connects individuals interested in agriculture with experienced New Mexico producers and professionals. Attendees will gain insight into key topics such as international livestock trade, building an agribusiness, USDA program resources, financial management and agritourism.

The two-day conference will feature interactive panels, breakout sessions, networking opportunities and behind-the-scenes insights into New Mexico’s agricultural industry.

New Mexico Secretary of Agriculture Jeff Witte said AgriFuture is designed to provide meaningful, hands-on experiences and build connections throughout the industry.

“We are excited to continue hosting AgriFuture in interactive, hands-on ways,” said Witte . “I encourage anyone interested in agriculture to attend and learn from industry experts. New Mexico agriculture has a bright future, and this is a great way to be part of it.”

The registration fee for attendees is $75. Veteran and student scholarships are available, with applications due April 15. To register and for more information, visit the AgriFuture page on the NMDA website .
