Letter from the Marketing Coordinator

Greetings outdoor enthusiasts!

We hope you've been getting outside and enjoying nature! Adventures in colder weather can be fun and rewarding, but they require extra preparation. Make sure you're ready for the elements by reviewing some basic winter safety tips before heading out.

The ORD team is looking forward to a busy and exciting year! We'll kick off the 2025 legislative session by joining NM Tourism Department for Tourism Day at the State Capitol on January 21 . Come celebrate the amazing opportunities New Mexico’s great outdoors and vibrant communities have to offer.

Next, we'll head to Taos Ski Valley for ActivateNM's Ski Lift Pitch from February 3-4 . As a proud Platinum Sponsor, alongside the Office of Strategy, Science, & Technology, this is sure to be a fun event!

Finally, mark your calendars for Outdoor Recreation Day at the State Capitol on Tuesday, March 18 . Read all about it in our latest press release . Join us as we celebrate New Mexico's $3.2B outdoor recreation industry and the incredible organizations and projects driving it forward!

See you outside!
