Letter from the Marketing Coordinator
Greetings readers,
This summer has been full of momentum for outdoor recreation in New Mexico. We’re thrilled to welcome the next cohort of ActivatOR participants, 18 outdoor business leaders ready to scale their ideas and strengthen our state’s outdoor economy. Stay tuned to our social media to meet the cohort and follow their journeys over the next 12 weeks.
Our team has also been out on the ground, celebrating the local impact of our Outdoor Equity Fund and Outdoor Recreation Trails+ Grant. In Albuquerque, we joined the Tijeras Arroyo Bio-Zone Education Center for the ribbon cutting of their new ADA Sensory Trail. In Farmington, we visited the Farmington Area Single Track and caught the energy of their summer race series at the San Juan College Bike Park. Later in the month, Director Karina Armijo attended the Hispanic and Indigenous Youth Fly Fishing Camp, hosted in partnership by Uncivilized Outdoorsman and Trout Unlimited, and later joined other team members at the Picuris Pueblo for the grand opening of their new bike park .
We're proud to continue supporting efforts that grow opportunity, connection, and conservation across New Mexico’s great outdoors.
Stay wild,
Michelle Simon
