DVS VBOC to Present "Boots to Business" classes in April & Ma7
The New Mexico Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC)—the veterans business development division of the New Mexico Department of Veterans’ Services— will present free “Boots to Business” training classes listed below in April and May. The first two classes on the list are for current and former members of the New Mexico National Guard who are interested in starting their own business or rowing an existing operation. Spouses are also welcome to enroll. The latter two classes are for active-duty personnel who are thinking of starting their own business once they complete their military services. Spouses are also welcome to enroll.

Boots to Business Program These free two-day introduction to entrepreneurship courses are a great way for entrepreneurial-minded former service members to learn about key elements of small business ownership and expansion, techniques for evaluating the feasibility of business concepts, and the steps needed to develop an all-important business plan—a “must” for anyone looking to start or expand a business. There will also be an introduction to a broad spectrum of entrepreneurial business concepts, how to access resources available for obtaining start-up or expansion capital, technical assistance, and how to pursue federal contracting opportunities.
