New RFP: Infant and Toddler Contracted Slots Pilot Program

The Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD) has released a new Request for Proposals for the Infant and Toddler Contracted Slots Pilot Program. This pilot is designed to expand access to consistent, high-quality infant and toddler care across New Mexico.

The program prioritizes applications that serve children with developmental delays, families at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty level, and families in underserved communities. Licensed child-care providers with a 3-star or higher FOCUS rating—as well as Nations, Pueblos, and Tribes willing to become FOCUS-rated—are invited to apply. Selected providers will receive stable monthly funding per slot.

Correction Notice: In our earlier message regarding the Infant and Toddler Contracted Slots Pilot Program (RFP #2026-2000) , the proposal submission deadline was listed incorrectly. The correct proposal submission deadline is: January 22, 2026 at 3 p.m. MT Please use this corrected deadline when preparing and submitting your materials. We apologize for the error and appreciate your understanding.
