PED hosts Educator Pathways Day at the Roundhouse Jan. 30

SANTA FE – The Public Education Department (PED) will host the first ever Educator Pathways Day at the Roundhouse on Jan. 30 to share the PED’s efforts to develop a coherent, high-quality, affordable set of pathways for aspiring educators to enter the teaching profession.

When: Jan. 30, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Presentation: 10 to 11 a.m., Rotunda

Lunch and Meet & Greet: 1 to 3 p.m., Room 309 (subject to change)

General Information: All day, West Wing

Location: New Mexico State Capitol Building

490 Old Santa Fe Trail, Santa Fe, NM 87501

(Accessible entrance: East Entrance)

The day will feature a presentation highlighting the PED’s pathways, including voices of teacher residents, mentors and district leaders. Legislators and other stakeholders are also invited to an informal lunch and meet & greet with aspiring educators, program leaders and district personnel. Representatives from Educators Rising, Aspiring Educators, Educator Fellows and Teacher Residencies, as well as PED staff, will be available all day.
