Picuris Bike Park Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting

PEÑASCO , NM — This Saturday, July 19, Picuris Pueblo is celebrating the grand opening of the new Bike Park, featuring three progressive jump lines, technical features, and a pump track.

The event is open to the public with a $10 entry fee and includes multiple competitions with $8,000 in cash prizes.

New Mexico’s Outdoor Recreation Division (ORD), part of the state’s Economic Development Department (EDD), awarded $500,000 from the Outdoor Recreation Trails+ Grant to help build this world-class bike park, the final phase of the Picuris Pueblo Recreation Park.

What: Picuris Bike Park Grand Opening Celebration.

Open to the public with a $10 entry fee; Free for Tribal/Pueblo members.

Who: Picuris Tribal Council; Picuris Governor Wayne Yazza, JR; Picuris Lt. Governor Craig Quanchello; Henry Lanman, Rocket Ramps; Economic Development Department Secretary Rob Black; Community members and bike enthusiasts.

When: Saturday, July 19, 2025

9 am: Gates open

10 am: Ribbon cutting with Picuris Pueblo Council and remarks, including EDD Secretary Rob Black

11 am - 7 pm: Bike park open to public

5 pm: Best Whip and Best Trick Competition on the mulch jump

7 pm: Pump Track Challenge on the asphalt pump track
