Media Alert: Q & A with folklorist Henry Glassie at Museum of International Folk Art

Hi Everyone,

Join Museum of International Folk Art for a screening of "Henry Glassie: Field Work" followed by a Q & A with Henry Glassie, moderated by Carrie Hertz, Curator of Dress and Textiles. Dr. Glassie shares a long history with the Museum of International Folk Art and has worked on multiple projects over the years, including authoring "The Spirit of Folk Art" and curating a major exhibition of Turkish Folk Art in 1991. WHAT: Screening of “Henry Glassie: Field Work”. WHO: Henry Glassie, celebrated folklorist, and ethnologist. Glassie has published widely in the fields of material culture and vernacular architecture. WHERE: Museum of International Folk Art, 706 Camino Lejo, Santa Fe. WHEN : Saturday, March 16, 2024, 2:30-4:30 p.m. WHY: This is a unique opportunity to engage with renowned folklorist Henry Glassie and gain insight into his extensive work and art.
