Santa Fe, NM— The New Mexico Film Office (NMFO) announces the departure of Director Amber Dodson. Dodson served as NMFO Director for over four years. Her official last day will be August 2, 2024.
Under Dodson’s leadership, NMFO has experienced unprecedented growth, attracting numerous film and television productions to the state. This has influenced job growth for residents and improved the overall infrastructure of the local industry.
“Amber Dodson has been an invaluable asset to the New Mexico film industry,” New Mexico Economic Development Department Acting Secretary Mark Roper said. “She has played a pivotal role in positioning New Mexico as a leading destination for filmmakers and has fostered a thriving creative community.”
"Serving as director over the past four years has been an honor,” Amber Dodson said. “I reflect with pride on the collaborative efforts and shared dedication in advancing the film industry in New Mexico to a globally acclaimed production hub.
