Delinquent property tax auctions scheduled

SANTA FE – The Taxation and Revenue Department has scheduled delinquent property tax auctions in Sandoval, Santa Fe, Lea, and Eddy counties.

The state attempts to collect delinquent property taxes when counties are unable to by notifying delinquent taxpayers about the taxes due and planned sales of delinquent property. If the state is unable to collect the delinquent taxes, the subject properties are auctioned for sale.

Auctions have been scheduled in the following counties:

Sandoval County, 10 a.m., March 26, 2025, at Bernalillo Recreation Center, 370 Rotary Park Rd, Bernalillo, NM 87004.

Santa Fe County, 10 a.m., March 27, 2025, at County Administrative Offices, 102 Grant St., Santa Fe, NM 87501.

Lea County, 10 a.m., April 2, 2025, at Lea County Auction, 100 N. Main Ste. 3-C, Lovington, NM 88260.

Eddy County, 10 a.m., April 3, 2025, at Eddy County Administration Building, 101 W. Greene St. Ste 211, Carlsbad, NM 88220.

More information, including terms of the auction sales, is available on the Delinquent Property Tax Auctions page at tax.newmexico.gov under Business . Announcements of future auctions also will be available there.

Registration begins in person at 8 a.m. on the day of the auction and ends promptly at auction time. Bidders must be registered to participate.
