Delinquent property tax auctions scheduled

SANTA FE—The Taxation and Revenue Department has scheduled delinquent property tax auctions in three counties over the next several weeks.

The state attempts to collect delinquent property taxes when counties are unable to do so. If the state is unable to collect the delinquent taxes, the subject properties are auctioned for sale.

Auctions have been scheduled in the following counties:

Catron County. When: 10 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024. Where: Catron County Courthouse, 100 Main Street, Reserve.

Torrance County. When: 10 a.m. , Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024 . Where: Torrance County Administration Building, 205 S. 9th Street, Estancia.

San Miguel County. When: 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024. Where: 500 W. National Ave., Las Vegas.

More information, including terms of the auction sales, is available on the Delinquent Property Tax Auctions page at tax.newmexico.gov . Announcements of future auctions also will be available there.

Registration begins in person at 8 a.m. on the day of the auction and ends promptly at auction time. Bidders must be registered to participate.
