Emerging media project employs over 100 local New Mexicans
Albuquerque, NM — An emerging media project focusing on workplace harassment prevention wrapped production in Albuquerque in June, providing valuable work opportunities for over 100 local professionals.
The project, a series of narrative videos designed to raise awareness about the dangers of workplace harassment, was directed by Robby Dugan (“No Sweat”) and produced by Keagan Karnes (“Brewmance”).
"Being chosen as the location for this competitive production is a testament to the fact that our local workforce not only meets, but exceeds, industry standards,” said New Mexico Film Office Director Steve Graham. “ Their talent and professionalism are what truly make New Mexico's film and emerging media industries shine, enabling us to be a force for positive change."
The compelling project showcases the power of New Mexico's creative talent to bring meaningful narratives to life, utilizing authentic storytelling to inform and educate audiences on a critical and timely issue.
“We’re really excited about the opportunity to bring this project to New Mexico and provide opportunities for local cast and crew,” Karnes stated. “This was an extremely competitive bid process, where we beat out many production companies across the country. We hope that this will open the door for more national and multinational companies to consider New Mexico and all that it has to offer.”
The production employed over 100 New Mexico residents, including 20 crew members, 37 principal talent, and 50 background actors.
