New Mexico Film Office Announces Feature Film “Fight or Flight” Wraps Filming in New Mexico

Santa Fe, NM— New Mexico Film Office Director Amber Dodson announced today that the feature film, “Fight or Flight,” wrapped filming in and around Ruidoso in June.

“Fight or Flight” stars Dolph Lundgren (“Rocky IV”), Michael Jai White (“The Dark Knight”), Scott Martin (“Best Man”), and Charlotte Kirk (“The Reckoning”), directed by Shane Dax Taylor (“The Christmas Classic”), and produced by Michael Slifkin (“The Best Man”) and Scott Martin (“The Best Man”).

The feature tells the story of Sam Hayden, who has a perfect record as an assassin. His next assignment is to take out his legendarily ruthless predecessor, Charles Managold (Lundgren), who has fallen for his beautiful, exotic mark and gone on the run. Sam is cold and professional and there is nothing that could sway him from his mission until he comes face to face, fist to fist, with his legendary target and shocks even himself by not taking him out. Now pursued by the world’s number one hitman, Isaac Provenzano (“White”), in a three-way game of cat and mouse, Sam must team up with Managold to fight back and stay alive.

"After the success of both ‘The Best Man’ and ‘The Christmas Classic,’ I could not wait to get back to Ruidoso to work with the community to make another great film," Taylor stated.

The production employed over 100 New Mexicans – 50 background talent, 50 crew members, and 3 principal actors.

New Mexico's film industry continues to surge, surpassing a staggering $1 billion in total economic impact for 2024. This impact includes not only production direct spend but also the wages paid to crew and actors. Additionally, it factors in the indirect spending at hotels, restaurants, and countless other businesses that thrive thanks to the film industry's presence, showcasing the significant role of the local community in supporting and benefiting from the film industry.
