Delinquent property tax auction scheduled in November

SANTA FE – The Taxation and Revenue Department will hold a delinquent property tax auction in Curry County in November, allowing individuals in attendance to submit bids.

The state attempts to collect delinquent property taxes when counties are unable to collect for themselves. The state notifies delinquent taxpayers about the taxes due and planned sales of delinquent property. If the state is unable to collect the delinquent taxes, the subject properties are auctioned for sale.

An auction has been scheduled in the following county:

Curry County , 10 a.m., November 20, at 417 Gidding St., Suite #150, Clovis NM 88101

Successful bidders are required to make payment in full prior to the conclusion of the auction by money order, certified check, cashier’s check, or a personal or business check if accompanied by a bank letter of credit that guarantees payment in at least the amount bid.

Registration begins in person at 8 a.m. on the day of the auction and ends promptly at auction time. Bidders must be registered to participate.
