Delinquent property tax auctions scheduled in December
SANTA FE – The Taxation and Revenue Department will hold delinquent property tax auctions in Rio Arriba, Doña Ana, Socorro, and Bernalillo Counties in December, allowing individuals in attendance to submit bids.
The auctions are intended to collect delinquent property taxes for the counties when taxes have been delinquent for at least four years. The state notifies delinquent taxpayers about the taxes due and planned sales of property. If the state is unable to collect the delinquent taxes, the subject properties are auctioned for sale.
Auctions have been scheduled in the following counties:
Rio Arriba County , 10 a.m., Dec. 4, Rio Arriba County Annex Bldg. Commission Chambers, 1122 Industrial Rd., Española, N.M. 87532.
Doña Ana County , 10 a.m., Dec. 15, 845 N Motel Blvd., Las Cruces, N.M. 88007.
Socorro County , 10 a.m., Dec. 16, Socorro County Annex, 198 Neel Ave., Socorro, N.M. 87801.
Bernalillo County , 10 a.m., Dec. 18, Alvarado Square, 415 Silver Ave. SW, Albuquerque, N.M. 87102.
Successful bidders are required to make payment in full prior to the conclusion of the auction by money order, certified check, cashier’s check, or a personal or business check if accompanied by a bank letter of credit that guarantees payment in at least the amount bid.

Registration begins in person at 8 a.m. on the day of the auction and ends promptly at auction time. Bidders must be registered to participate.
