Sec. Schardin Clarke elected secretary of Federation of Tax Administrators Board of Trustees

SANTA FE – New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Sec. Stephanie Schardin Clarke has been elected secretary of the Federation of Tax Administrators (FTA) Board of Trustees for a term of 2025 to 2026.

The FTA promotes intergovernmental coordination in the administration of taxes, provides information, training, and resources to tax administrators, and represents state tax interests at the federal level.

“The FTA is an essential tool for the improvement of state tax administration, allowing states to share innovations and coordinate communications with the federal government” said Sec. Stephanie Schardin Clarke. “It is an honor to be elected to serve as the Secretary of the Board of Trustees.”

Schardin Clarke has served on the FTA Board of Trustees since 2021. She is also the current president of the Western States Association of Tax Administrators and the current chair of the Multistate Tax Commission.
