State Launches RFP for Science and Technology Startup Assistance
Proposals due Nov 7, pre-proposal conference Oct 25
SANTA FE, N.M. – The New Mexico Economic Development Department’s Office of Strategy, Science & Technology launched a Request for Proposals (RFP) for contractors to provide sector-specific business assistance in the department’s priority science and technology sectors.
The RFP, launched on October 15, 2024, solicits proposals to establish five contracts with individuals or organizations to provide tailored business assistance and one-on-one direct hours of support for businesses in the sectors of advanced computing, advanced energy, aerospace, bioscience, and water technologies.
Through the Office of Strategy, Science & Technology (OSST), the Economic Development Department works to support the development and growth of technology-based industries in New Mexico that are derived from the state’s technological strengths and provide a commercial advantage. OSST works to connect New Mexico's innovation infrastructure to the commercial market and to encourage and enable the startup, growth, and relocation of science-based and technology-based industries in and to New Mexico. The contractors selected through this RFP will work with OSST to support New Mexico startups with business development, funding opportunities, and general sector growth.
Proposals are due on November 7, 2024 . A pre-proposal conference will be held on October 25, 2024. Interested parties should consult the RFP document for all relevant information at edd.newmexico.gov/about-us/public-notices.
