SBIR Matching Grant Applications Open Oct. 23, 2024

State announces new round of SBIR Matching grants

SANTA FE, N.M. – The New Mexico Economic Development Department announces that applications for the FY25 New Mexico Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Matching Grant will open on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024.

The SBIR Matching Grant is a competitive state-funded grant that supports the commercialization of technologies being developed with federal SBIR/STTR grant awards. This grant assists early-stage companies in product readiness with the goal of market entry, sales, expansion, and job creation.

All New Mexico-based for-profit companies with an active Phase I or Phase II SBIR/STTR (or businesses within three months of a Phase I having ended with intentions of applying for a Phase II) are eligible to apply. Science or technology companies in any of the following industry sectors will be prioritized: aerospace, biosciences, advanced computing, water technologies, and advanced energy.

Additional grant information, the grant manual, and a link to the application will be available on the OSST SBIR Matching Grant webpage . Businesses who intend to apply are encouraged to join the informational webinar on October 30, 2024, at 1 pm MST . You can register for the webinar here .
