Rapid Hire event planned for Albuquerque Police Department
$1,500 sign on bonus for Police Service Aide positions
Albuquerque , NM – Albuquerque Police Department (APD) in conjunction with the Department of Workforce Solutions, will hold a Rapid Hire event to fill Police Service Aid and Transit Safety Officer positions in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The event will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 9am – 3pm at the New Mexico Workforce Connection on 501 Mountain Rd NE.
“These positions are not only critical to the work of the Albuquerque Police Department, but they are also great transition roles for individuals who aspire to become police officers,” said Chief Harold Medina. “ Our Police Service Aide’s and Transit Safety Officers can start at the age of 18 when many young adults are looking to begin their careers, and we hope through these programs, they may see a future with the department.”
Screeners and Recruiters from APD will be on-hand to review applicant resumes for eligibility and complete a series of employment requirements on-site the same day. New Mexico Workforce Connection Career Consultants are available to assist individuals with creating, updating, and printing their résumé.
APD is offering a $1,500 hiring bonus for those hired on to be a Police Service Aide. Both positions serve as a gateway into the Albuquerque Police Department and those aspiring to be an APD Officer. The positions also offer employee benefits including health, dental, and Vision insurance, retirement contributions, and tuition reimbursement.
Applicants should bring multiple copies of an updated résumé, their birth certificate, Social Security Number, Driver’s License, and proof of right to work in the United States (if applicable). Professional attire is recommended.
