Child Abuse & Neglect

Protective Services receives reports of alleged child maltreatment 24 hours a day, seven days a week, through Statewide Central Intake at 1-855-333-SAFE (7233) or #SAFE from cell phones. We investigate reports of child maltreatment and intervene to keep New Mexico's children safe.
Domestic Violence

CYFD-funded domestic violence service providers help more than 10,500 residents affected each year by domestic violence, including survivors, perpetrators, and their children. CYFD works with 46 non-profit and governmental organizations throughout the state to provide shelter and support services to families and individuals in need.
Reach NM
Living • Children, Youth and Families Department
New Mexico Children, Youth & Families Department launched ReachNM, a new program that enables youth to contact the department's Statewide Central Intake workers by texting 505-591-9444 to seek support and resources or report suspected abuse or neglect.
Juvenile Justice

Juvenile Justice Services are tasked with staffing the New Mexico's Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee, administering special initiatives, monitoring compliance to federal and state juvenile justice and delinquency prevention requirements, and managing funding for community programs.
